DESCRIPTION:Mayor Watts is encouraging everyone to proudly display their red\, white\, and blue.\n\n\n\n\n\nDid you know that you should never throw the American Flag in the garbage?  To throw a flag in the garbage is considered desecration of the flag.  A formal ceremony is held to retire old\, worn flags as a way of showing respect for our country's flag.  The following locations will be available now through June 12 as drop off points for flags ready for retirement:\n\n\n\nCity Hall\n\nChamber of Commerce\n\nRoss Tire\n\n\n\nA proper retirement ceremony will be held at the American Legion Post 38 at 7:00pm.  That is located at 151 S. Wooddale Boulevard\, Baton Rouge.
